Book Review: Appalachian Justice by Melinda Clayton

This month’s book, Appalachian Justice was chosen by the Chicago Book Club from the Book Club Reading List. Appalachian Justice is a tale of human horror and redemption; a tale about love and overcoming tragedy that grabs the reader’s attention and holds it until the dramatic, chilling, and moving conclusion. The story is set in the remote, rural town of Crutcher Mountain and centers on a cast of unique characters, some endearing, some terrifying, but all memorable.  The most engaging to me were Billy May, Jessie, and Corinne.
